When June was a stand-up comedian she worked in a club every Tuesday night for a crowd that always included a live parrot. That career didn't last (she got into soap-making) but the love of birds persists. She now knows how to speak basic Low Chickadee and White-Throated Sparrow. When she figured out that the parrot a type of aphasia, she still loved him, but didn't listen to him much.
